She hails from New Delhi, India.

She started her career as a model and then transitioned into acting after around 6 months. When Avantika got a chance to meet director Neelakanta, it took him just 10 minutes to finalize her for a role.

Alongside Harshvardhan Rane, Sushma Raj, Nandini Rai, Anita Choudary, and Naga Babu, Avantika Mishra co-starred as Meghana (a girl with a rare gift of extrasensory perception) in the 2014 Telugu psychological supernatural thriller film Maaya.

In 2016, she co-starred as Priya in the Telugu language film Meeku Meere Maaku Meme.

Avantika Mishra brought to life the character of Rakesh’s co-star in the 2019 Telugu-language comedy-drama film Meeku Maathrame Cheptha.

She made a special appearance in the song Singles Anthem in the 2020 Telugu-language romantic comedy film Bheeshma, starring Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna.
