Guildford drive-by shooting: Shots fired on Bligh Street, Police hunt for gunman
Police are on the hunt for a gunman after a suspected drive-by shooting occurred overnight in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to a Blight Street home about 9.35pm on Monday, after reports of shots fired.
Vision from the scene shows a bullet hole through the front gate of the home where police tape has been used to cordon off the crime scene.
A white Mercedes Benz AMG parked in the driveway was also inside the taped off area.
No one was injured.
“I didn’t hear the gunshots, I mistook it for fireworks,” a neighbour told Today on Tuesday.
“I turned off all the lights upstairs, to make sure no-one is downstairs because we could like fear our lives.”
A 29-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Granville Police Station, where she assisted police.
She was released and will be dealt with by way of Future Service Court Attendance Notice for the offence of hindering police.
Police remain on the hunt for the gunman.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
